I am so proud to announce, after many months of work, Project C launched on Monday, May 28!
Project C: Clicking Creates Change, is an independent student-run multimedia project that ultimately donates funds to local nonprofit organizations in southeast Ohio.
The students involved with the project have spent the past few months working together to create documentaries chronicling the activities of four local nonprofit organizations. Video documentaries, along with still photos, infographics, and feature articles are now available to viewing audiences on Project C’s website: www.clickingcreateschange.com.
The nonprofits chosen to be featured in the 2012 edition of Project C include:
- The Gathering Place
- Hocking-Athens-Perry Community Action
- Rural Action: Watershed Restoration
- United Campus Ministry
With the click of a mouse, community members, as well as any other visitors to the site, can vote for their favorite organization. When users vote for an organization they are helping decide how to allocate funds to the featured nonprofits. Today is last day to cast your vote! The amount of money donated to each organization is decided by the percentage of votes received during the five days voting is active.
A Project C Premier: Celebrating Community
If you live in the southeast Ohio area please join the Project C team TONIGHT from 7:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. as we celebrate our site launching, as well as acknowledge the southeast Ohio community and the nonprofit organizations that we are so proud to be a part of and look forward to our work benefiting this year. There will be music, free food, a silent auction, and representatives from each of the nonprofits featured in the 2012 edition of Project C.
The event is being held at the Community Center Pavilion on East Park Drive, between the Athens City Pool and CVS on East State Street. I hope you will join us!
